Design Recommendations:
The Affluent Austin postcard is like a mini “billboard”.
The image and headline should capture the reader’s attention immediately.

Software Requirements:
Page Layout: Quark Xpress.
Art Elements: Macromedia Freehand 8.0,Adobe Illustrator.
Scans/Photos: Adobe Photoshop

Artwork Specifications:
Card Size Maximum Image Area Doc. Size
5.5”x3.5” 5.125”x3.125” * 5.5”x3.5”
Bleed Size: Add .125”

Digital File Requirements:
-Four-color or grayscale images should be scanned hi-resolution at 350 dpi. (No images from websites)
-Scanned line art (1-bit color) should be a minimum of 800 dpi.
-Graphics and all specified colors should be 4-color process (CMYK) and in tif/eps format with no compression.
-Include all linked images on disk as well as fonts. If imported graphics from Adobe Illustrator or Freehand contain fonts, please convert those fonts to outlines or paths.

Fonts:
Use Macintosh Fonts. Please, no Multiple Master Fonts. All fonts (printer and screen fonts) must be included in the fonts folder. Any missing fonts may be substituted for “like” fonts and may not meet your design expectations.

Disk:
All files to be supplied on Mac, Zip, or CD Rom. Use “collect for output” command and include report with your files.

Support Documents:
Include a black & white laser print and a high quality color proof of your card layout.
